According to a NHK statement on Wednesday, the television anime adaptation of Makoto Akui’s manga Ao no Orchestra (The Blue Orchestra) will premiere on NHK Educational at 5:00 p.m. JST on April 9.

In Blue Orchestra we are introduced to a young musician named Tatsuya who has a passion for music and dreams of becoming a professional violinist. However, he lacks confidence and self-esteem, which prevents him from realizing his full potential.
After meeting Miyabi, he is inspired to strive for greatness. Miyabi, a cellist, challenges him to strive for greatness. Together, they embark on a journey to become part of the prestigious Blue Orchestra.
